One sunny August day, I was lucky to be able to sign a contract that would enable one of my biggest dreams to come true – a new restaurant saw the light of day at Park Hotel in Hellerup.
I was born into a family of actors and artists. There were always many things to do during each day, many places to be and lots of experiences to be a part of. As a family, we have always lived life fully, and traditional Danish food, movies, and theatre were always a big part of our lives. So I have always thought – why not combine everything in one place?
That is why I created
A tribute to the Danish culture and unique world of food, as well as a tribute to my always happy and kind family.
I remember my father always being in the kitchen cooking when he had some time off from work – especially if guests were invited to our home. He loved the traditional Danish dishes and dedicated himself to master them to absolute perfection. When he came home from the theatre in the evening, he always made the same night snack each time – 3 pieces of open-faced sandwiches and a night beer.
The night beer has over time become one of the trademarks that you would know me for from my role in ”My Sister’s Children” series. That is why I have a special offer for you at Restaurant Helmuth:
3 pieces of open-faced sandwiches and a night beer available for you between 10 PM and 12 AM.
I look forward to welcoming you to Restaurant Helmuth – a cozy place with traditions, history and homely atmosphere.
